Heavy-Duty Padlocks

Solid-brass bodies, hardened or stainless shackles, every one rekeyable. Buy a single lock — or have us design a key system so one key opens exactly what it should, and nothing else.

Which heavy-duty padlock should I buy?

Start with what is trying to get in, not with the price. If the threat is weather, buy the anti-rust VS 40 AR — a stainless shackle is worth more than an extra 10 mm of brass. If it is bolt cutters, buy the VS 50 HD and keep the shackle short and tight to the hasp. If it is a roller shutter, buy the VAT 50 HD monoblock, because a lock with no exposed shackle cannot have its shackle cut.

And if the real problem is that you are carrying eleven keys, the answer is not a lock at all — it is a key system. That is the part most sellers will not help you with.

Choose by the threat

Four lines, and they solve genuinely different problems. Not sure? Send a photo of the door, gate or shutter and we will tell you which one fits.

One key, or twenty — the part worth getting right

Buying the lock is easy. Deciding who can open what is the decision you live with for years.

  • 1

SingleEach lock has its own key. Fine for one gate. Miserable for eleven.

  • 2

Keyed-alike (KA)One key opens every lock in the set. Perfect when the same person opens everything, and wrong the moment one key goes missing.

  • 3

Master-keyed (MK)Each lock keeps its own key, and one master opens them all. This is what you want when staff should reach some doors but not others.

  • 4

Grand-master (GMK)Layers of masters over multiple sites. We draw the chart with you before a single key is cut.

Not sure which one you need?

Our KA vs MK guide walks through it in plain English, and the master-key design guide shows you how to draw the hierarchy, keep a key register, and rekey when someone leaves.

What a padlock cannot do

We would rather set this out here than have you discover it after a break-in.

An angle grinder beats every padlock on this page, and every padlock on any page — including locks costing ten times these. Security is not about being uncuttable; it is about time, noise and visibility. A short shackle pulled tight to a good hasp, in a lit and overlooked spot, is worth more than an extra RM200 of lock hanging loose in the dark.
These are solid mid-tier locks, not elite ones. Abloy and ABUS make higher-security cylinders and we will say so. What Vpass gives you is a solid-brass body, a real disc-detainer cylinder, rekeyability and a 5-year warranty at a price that lets you protect every door rather than one.
And keys are copyable. Any key on a standard profile can be duplicated by someone who has it for ten minutes. If that matters, ask us about a restricted profile before you buy.

We supply it, and we can fit it

A padlock is only as good as what it is locked to. A verified locksmith will tell you if your hasp is the weak point.

  • Buying

Single lock, or a designed set

Order a single lock online, or send us the list of doors and we will quote a keyed-alike or master-key set with the chart drawn out first.

    • Rekeyable, so a lost key is not a lost lock
    • Extra keys cut to order
    • 5-year warranty
  • Fitting

Hasps, staples and the weak point

Most padlock failures are not the padlock. They are a thin hasp, a soft staple, or a shackle left long enough to get a cutter behind. We fix the whole assembly, not just the lock.

    • Verified technician network
    • Hasp and staple assessed
    • Nationwide supply, install in our coverage areas

Tell us what you are locking

Send a photo of the gate, shutter or door. We will tell you which lock fits, whether your hasp is worth keeping, and what a keyed set would cost.
