How Dispatch Works

Every service above routes through the same WhatsApp dispatch flow. Seven steps from first message to job completion — including the ownership-verification protocol that protects you, the technician, and the property owner.

Lockouts only: choose emergency or scheduled. All other services default to scheduled — they’re not emergencies.

We confirm location

Share your location pin and address. Coverage spans Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan; we’ll tell you up-front if you fall outside our roster’s reach.

Ownership verification

Before the technician departs, send proof of ownership on WhatsApp:

Main-entry house unlock: IC + recent utility or internet bill (email screenshot is fine before departure; the technician may ask to see the original document or live app on arrival — AI-edited screenshots now look real). Tenant? Tenancy agreement + landlord WhatsApp confirmation.

Vehicle unlock or AKL: IC + live MyJPJ or MyDigital ID app showing vehicle ownership on the actual device. Geran or registration-card screenshots are not accepted — same AI-edit concern.

If you can’t verify ownership, we don’t dispatch. This protects you, the technician, and the property/vehicle owner.

Price agreed before dispatch

Technician confirms scope, indicates ETA, and agrees the final price with you on WhatsApp before traveling. No surprise increases on arrival — this prevents bait-and-switch and avoids on-site arguments.

If photos or scope reveal complexity (different lock type, vehicle complication, larger install than expected), the technician re-confirms the band before leaving. You decide whether to proceed. The Platform does not set, hold, confirm, or arbitrate prices.

Technician routes & arrives

Primary on-call technician offered the job first; if mid-job or unreachable, the Platform may attempt to contact another eligible technician through the active Klang Valley dispatch group.

On arrival: technician verifies your IC + ownership document in person (live app or original) before starting work. The Platform does not set, hold, confirm, or arbitrate prices — the price agreed on WhatsApp before dispatch is what stands.

Job done · Rating gate

Payment is between you and the technician at the agreed price. The system follows up with a short rating prompt — your feedback shapes which technicians stay on the roster.

If no technician is available right now — we say so on WhatsApp. We don’t dispatch ghost technicians, and we don’t keep you waiting in silence. The Platform may attempt to contact another eligible technician through the dispatch group; if our roster can’t cover your job at all, you’ll know within minutes so you can call someone else.

Pricing Approach

Every service page on MyLock.my publishes an indicative price band drawn from roster quotations and operator experience. The bands give you a realistic starting point so you can decide whether to dispatch before any technician is sent.

The Platform does not set, hold, confirm, or arbitrate prices. The price you pay is agreed directly between you and the technician on WhatsApp before dispatch — not on arrival. This prevents bait-and-switch and avoids on-site arguments.

If the technician needs more information to quote (additional photos, lock type confirmation, vehicle details), they will ask before traveling and confirm the agreed price before leaving their location.

What’s the difference between emergency and scheduled dispatch?

Lockouts (door, gate, vehicle, safe) are the only category where you choose emergency or scheduled — for the rest, scheduled is the default because they’re not emergencies. EM lock installation, CCTV, smart lock installs, and specialist verticals all route through a scheduled-service path.

Why do you need ownership proof before dispatch?

For main-entry house unlocks and vehicle unlocks, the technician needs to confirm you have the right to access the property or vehicle. We accept IC + utility bill (house) or IC + live MyJPJ/MyDigital ID app (vehicle). AI-edited screenshots of geran or registration cards are not accepted — they now look real. This protects you, the technician, and the property owner.

No. Service pages publish indicative bands. The Platform does not set, hold, confirm, or arbitrate prices. Your final price is agreed directly with the technician on WhatsApp before dispatch — not on site.
