Who can join MyLock?

Independent locksmiths, automotive and ECU key specialists, autogate technicians and smart-lock installers operating anywhere in Malaysia, with a registered business and verifiable trade capability. Shop or no shop makes no difference.

MyLock.my is a dispatch platform, not an employer. Members stay fully independent — you keep your own customers, your own pricing and your own brand. What membership adds is a verified public profile on the MyLock technician roster and, on the Premium tier, job offers routed to you by the platform.

Every application is reviewed before approval, and the review checks three things: your identity, your business registration, and your trade capability. To finish onboarding you will also be asked for at least one certificate or proof-of-capability photo, at least two photos of your own work, your base district and the service radius you want to cover, and a Telegram chat ID so job offers can reach your phone.

The roster today runs to 20 verified technicians across five states — Selangor (10), Kuala Lumpur (7), Negeri Sembilan (1), Johor (1) and Perak (1). Coverage outside the Klang Valley is deliberately thin and actively recruiting: our first Johor member anchors locksmith dispatch in Johor Bahru, and our first Perak member anchors locksmith dispatch in Ipoh.

How does WhatsApp job dispatch actually work for technicians?

The customer messages MyLock on WhatsApp; the platform captures the job, confirms location and ownership, then sends the job offer to the nearest eligible Premium member. You accept or decline — and if you accept, you deal with the customer and the money directly.

The customer side runs on WhatsApp: scope questions, photos where the job needs them, a live location pin, and ownership verification before anyone is dispatched. The full customer-facing sequence is published as the 7-step dispatch protocol.

Your side runs on Telegram, which is why a Telegram chat ID is part of onboarding. Once a job is ready to dispatch:

1. Matching. The platform ranks eligible technicians by distance from your registered base against the service radius you set, so the offers you see are jobs near you, on your own terms.
2. The offer. A job offer arrives in your Telegram with the job type, the area and the scope captured from the customer. You accept or decline.
3. Expiry. Offers time out if nobody answers. When that happens the Platform may attempt to contact another eligible technician, so a customer is never left waiting on one unresponsive phone.
4. Fairness. Ordering rewards members who answer their offers and who hold strong customer ratings, and it rotates, so the same member does not take every job in an area.
5. The job itself. You agree scope and price with the customer on WhatsApp before you travel, and the customer pays you directly. MyLock takes no cut of the job. The Platform does not set, hold, confirm, or arbitrate prices.

The indicative bands customers already see are published in the 2026 locksmith price guide. They are indicative ranges drawn from roster quotations, not a rate card you are held to.

What does the 20-job-offer guarantee actually cover?

If the platform sends you fewer than 20 job offers in your first 12 months as a Premium Verified Member, your membership fee is refunded. It is a guarantee on offers dispatched to you — not on jobs you win, and not on what you earn.

The qualifying conditions, in full:

• Premium tier only. The guarantee and dispatch eligibility both belong to Premium Verified Membership (RM600 / year). Basic membership is a roster listing and a verification badge; it is not dispatch-eligible, so the guarantee does not apply to it.
• Active and responding. Terms apply to active, responding technicians. A member who lets offers expire unanswered is not covered.
• What counts as an offer. A job offer dispatched to you by the platform. Whether you accept it, whether the customer proceeds, and what the job is worth all sit outside the count — which keeps the metric one the platform controls and you can audit.
• Service-area dependency. Offers are routed from your registered base against the service radius you set. A narrow radius in a thin coverage area will see fewer offers than a wide radius in the Klang Valley, and the guarantee is measured against what the platform actually routed to you.
• Refund. If the count falls short at the end of your first 12 months, the membership fee is refunded. The exact refund process and the full written terms are confirmed with your membership approval.
• New-state members. The first technicians in a state we do not yet cover receive an additional month of membership free, because local search coverage for a new area takes time to rank.

The demand behind the number is dated and auditable: 460 customer requests reached the network between 1 June and 26 August 2026, and 225 were accepted by member technicians — a 49% acceptance rate on live demand, published in the Malaysia Locksmith Dispatch Report. Two early members’ own results: SJ Locksmith took his first job within 3 days of joining, and LW Locksmith earned back his membership fee within 2 weeks.

Basic or Premium — which membership fits?

If you want jobs sent to you, choose Premium. Only Premium Verified Membership is dispatch-eligible; Basic is presence only.

Basic Verified Member, RM300 / year. You are listed on the verified roster with a platform verification badge and a public profile, and you get access to the member community. You do not receive job dispatch, and the 20-job-offer guarantee does not apply.

Premium Verified Member, RM600 / year. Everything in Basic, plus eligibility for WhatsApp job dispatch in your area, priority positioning in dispatch matching, an enhanced featured public profile, priority member support, and the 20-job-offer guarantee.

Both tiers are a flat yearly fee. There is no per-job commission and no middleman cut on dispatch work — the full job value stays with you. If you are not sure which fits, pick “I’d like to discuss” on the application form, or read how the platform works first.
