Straight answer: it depends entirely on the tier, and it’s worth naming the benchmarks. At the top, Abloy (Protec2) and ABUS Plus disc-detainers are among the hardest commercial cylinders to pick — false gates, tight tolerances, restricted key blanks — and they price accordingly (RM600–1,700+). A budget disc-detainer, by contrast, is still pickable by a specialist with the right tool, even though it beats a cheap pin-tumbler on weather and bump resistance.
