1. Introduction
Welcome to MyLock.my, a digital platform operated by **Inpixel Marketing** (“the Platform Operator”).
By accessing or using this website and its related services, you agree to be bound by these terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any of these terms, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Nature of Service
1. Mylock.my acts solely as a digital intermediary connecting verified locksmith technicians (“Service Providers”) with customers seeking locksmith-related services (“Users”).
2. The Platform does not employ, own, or directly control any Service Provider. Each technician operates as an independent contractor or business entity registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
3. The Platform’s role is limited to:
* Hosting verified profiles of Service Providers;
* Providing a job request and matching system; and
* Offering customer support and dispute resolution facilitation.
3. Platform Verification and Self-Declaration
1. All participating locksmiths and technicians are required to submit identity documents, SSM registration proof, and a Self-Declaration of Good Conduct prior to approval.
2. Verification is based on information declared by the Service Provider. The Platform does not guarantee the truthfulness of such declarations and shall not be held responsible for any misrepresentation.
3. “Platform Verified” status confirms only that the technician has completed required verification steps, not that they are government-endorsed, police-approved, or licensed under any security agency regulation.
4. Independence of Technicians
1. All service transactions, negotiations, and payments are conducted directly between the User and the Service Provider.
2. The Platform does not collect or hold payments on behalf of either party unless explicitly stated in writing.
3. Technicians determine their own pricing, scheduling, and service coverage. The Platform may display suggested rates for transparency purposes, but these are indicative only.
5. Limitation of Liability
1. The Platform Operator shall not be liable for:
* Any loss, damage, theft, or injury arising from services rendered by independent Service Providers;
* Any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform caused by factors beyond the Platform’s control;
* Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of data or income) arising from use of the Platform.
2. The Platform’s total liability, if any, is limited to the membership or listing fee paid by the Service Provider, or **RM300**, whichever is lower.
6. Dispute Resolution
1. In the event of disagreement between User and Service Provider, either party may submit a report through the Platform’s dispute channel.
2. The Platform will review available evidence (chat logs, job records, declarations) and may mediate a resolution, but it does not have judicial authority.
3. The Platform’s decision in mediation is final and non-binding; parties retain the right to pursue legal action independently.
7. Data Privacy
1. The Platform collects and processes user and technician data in accordance with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
2. Personal data is used strictly for verification, communication, and platform functionality.
3. Users and technicians may request data removal or correction via official support channels.
8. Membership and Fee Policy
1. Membership fees are payable annually and non-refundable except in cases of administrative error.
2. The Platform reserves the right to revise membership fees annually with prior written notice.
3. The membership may be suspended or revoked if a Service Provider breaches any part of this Agreement or provides false information.
9. Code of Conduct
All Service Providers must:
* Respect customer privacy and property;
* Maintain confidentiality of security codes and personal information;
* Avoid misrepresentation of skills, experience, or pricing;
* Refrain from any unethical or illegal locksmith activities.
Violation of these standards may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
10. Intellectual Property
All website content, trademarks, and platform software are owned by Inpixel Marketing or its licensors.
Users and Service Providers may not copy, redistribute, or modify any content without written consent.
11. Amendment of Terms
The Platform Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be published on this page, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of such changes.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Selangor, Malaysia.
